New eResources: Cantook Station and Consumer Reports!

This week the Read Alberta eBooks project launches on library websites across the province. Alberta Municipal Affairs’ Public Library Services Branch (PLSB) has partnered with the Book Publishers Association of Alberta to make over 1,000 Alberta-published eBooks available to readers across the province. he largest of its kind in Canada, the collection represents 24 Alberta publishers.

We are also pleased to announce the launch of Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping consumers make informed choices about products, services, and safety. They put over 4000 products through rigorous testing each year.

Read Alberta Books Travelling Displays - New Blocks!

Peace Library System is pleased to offer two new blocks of books to add to the Read Alberta Books Travelling Displays. Blocks 5 & 6 feature 2016 nominees and winners from the WGA’s Alberta Literary Awards and the BPAA’s Alberta Book Publishing Awards. A total of 41 books were donated to Peace Library System, and were split into two blocks of 20 and 21 titles each.

Each of these new blocks can be borrowed for three months for your library's patrons to enjoy before it must be sent back to Peace Library System.
