Biography

Karen_Autio
Karen Autio grew up in Nipigon, Ontario where, at the age of nine, she began to write stories just so she could illustrate them. Ms. Autio then went on to study math and computer science at the University of Waterloo, and became a software developer for several major corporations. In 1996, Ms. Autio and her family moved to Kelowna, BC. While raising her family, Ms. Autio returned to her passion for writing by exploring her Finnish roots and researching history. Ms. Autio also loves to travel – she has visited Finland twice and has explored Europe, Singapore, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
